Coin Op Timers
Coin Op Timers, token timers, magnetic card swipe units, bill acceptors are
some of the latest means by which operators and salon owners are cutting
costs on salaries and employees.
Our equipment is manufactured for
reliability and ease of operation so a salon owner can install these items
on their tanning equipment or massage equipment or saunas, whirlpools,
without requiring an employee to attend the
equipment.

These timers can be connected to a T Max in order to
overcome the problem of unlimited tanning session times which could
potentially burn people. The T Max goes between the coin op and the bed, and
runs block, a T Max costs an extra $145.00 though.
Not absolutely necessary but a good idea. Also the metal box the coin op
comes with can be fitted with a Canadian or American bill acceptor which
functions the same way (adjustable times and bills) as the coin op. The coin
op can accept any coin or token in the world, but we already have tokens to
fit, they come 1000 at a time and are going for .60 cents per.
The coin ops can accept "loonies" or "toonies" no probs, but we have
to know on order.
They are driven by a regular outlet and throw 24 volt ac to a dry contact
relay, this I connect to one of the leads on the coil of the main contactor
of the tanning bed and boom the thing's ready to go coin op,
so having said all this, you can see the potential for these coin ops, like
we can attach any damn thing on the planet to them, whirl pools, massage
chairs, TV,s really anything that you can turn on and off with a switch can
be "coin op'ed". Cool!!!
This stainless steel coin op timer unit is extremely versatile and
configurable:

These units can be connected to the equipment from a distance and have local
on/off control buttons that attach directly to the equipment allowing the
customer to switch to equipment on or off.
Easily accessible electronic settings allow the owner to custom configure
such things as the number of coin drops and the subsequent number of minutes
of operation per drop. This provides flexibility and
gives the owner direct control over the profitability of the equipment
connected to the timer. It is this feature that makes our units stand out
from the rest of the so called (kiddie-ride timers) we see so often on the
market today.
The VTT System: Each tanning bed is controlled by a unique patented
 vending
timer system. The vending timer can only be activated via specially encoded magnetic cards.
The process is very simple:
Significance Of Magnetic Cards:
Each customer receives their own personal tanning card. The tanning card
can only be used once every 24 hours. The VTT Timer System's onboard
computer reads the card when swiped and prohibits additional usage for a
complete 24 hour cycle.
Salon and Spa operators are now connecting Vibrosaun, Aqua-Massage, Tanning,
Sauna and other spa equipment all to these types of token timers. But new to
this concept is the magnetic card swipe unit which acts the same as a debit
card and can be pre-programmed with any number of minutes and then in turn
sold to the customer in packages.
Salon operators are noticing marked improvements in their monthly gross
sales as well as impressive cost reductions due to reduced wages and fewer
"freebies".
Operators are now seeing what their own business' potential can be, as they
no longer have to pay wages, or they bring them to a minimum with only wages
going to themselves or immediate management/ family employees rather.
Amazingly enough their own business which may have been running for years
all of a sudden becomes surprisingly much more lucrative once the costs of
wages go away. All due to a simple
connected token controller.
With the ability to start and stop the
equipment, customers also notice the benefits and prefer to use the token
controller as opposed to having to wait for an employee, with the main reason being; they
save time!
No more appointments to call in for, no more waiting in line,
just arrive and drop in your coins( or swipe your card) and away they go,
and quite frankly this is becoming more and
more of a trend as people are extremely busy and just want to be able to get
in and get out quickly.
New this year we have added features for the safety of the customer. As we
all know the importance of moderation in the use of Tanning equipment, our
programmers have designed an integral daily limit feature which protects the
salon operator from the abusive misuse of their equipment by customers who
wish to
over-tan. The feature is available in the card swipe timers and simply have
a date limiter programmed within so that any customer wishing to tan must
first swipe their programmed card over the reader in order to prepare the
timer to function, however that specific card cannot be debited another time
within 24 hours.
This feature is an absolute must in our industry as these
automated timers are left with the equipment 24 hours/7 days a week and thus
must give protection to the customers who tan.
New for 2007 : automated salon systems equipped with both Coin/ Bill
acceptor timer and Tactile screen card swipe systems which can be tied into
a modem for control and accountability from another location.
This allows the salon owner the option of having several salons working with
the same card, providing convenience for the customers. Card swipes remove
any risk of having money sitting at the equipment without 24 hr personal
attendance, and protects customers as the cards can only activate the
tanning system once each 24 hr period. Call to find out more about this

Location Split:
Depends on what you negotiate.
Example A:
Apartment Communities: Zero split. Apartment community will make money by
selling the tanning cards for $10 each. They reimburse you $2 for every card
sold. You also give them two free tans per day for the leasing staff. This
equals $180 monthly in free tanning. Remember, they pay tens of thousands
for resident amenities like weight equipment, tennis courts, racquetball,
swimming pools, etc. You are providing them a great marketing amenity at
zero cost to them. The residents pay $3.00 for each tanning session.
Example B:
Fitness Facility: 75% to you - 25% to club. Club makes money by selling
the cards for $10 each. They reimburse you $2 for every card sold. You can
also sell lotions to clubs for salon cost plus %25. Club will mark-up to
normal salon retail. Fee for each tanning session is $4.00.
Independently connected coin op timers for salon automation alleviate the
